The essential skills I developed to build these projects were acquired during my course, CSC342, CSC352: React Native I & II.
The Women In Tech 2025 Showcase Guide is a mobile app built in CSC342: React Native I using React Native and React Navigation. The app provides artists and speakers with an easy way to access event information and submit their work. The project uses a stack navigator to move between three main screens: Home, Submit Your Art, and Apply to Be a Speaker. The Home screen displays event details and includes a clickable image that takes users to the submission page. Each screen uses themed colors and images to match the Women in Tech 2025 branding. Overall, the app is designed to be simple, clear, and helpful, guiding users through the steps to submit artwork or apply as a speaker for the Women in Tech 2025 Showcase.

This project for CSC352: React Native II is an interactive mini-game called ArtVise AI – Gallery Challenge, built with React Native and Expo. The player controls an animated rover that moves across the screen, shoots artworks, collects power-ups, and earns points through real-time interactions. The game demonstrates essential course concepts such as animations, timed events, collision detection, state management, and UI controls.
In the competitive mobile app landscape, a polished user interface with smooth, intuitive animations can make all the difference. High-quality animations enhance the user experience, provide valuable feedback, and create a sense of craftsmanship. Generic, static interfaces are no longer enough to capture user attention.
This assignment will introduce you to the core principles of creating graphics and animations within a React Native Expo application.
1. Choose an app idea that excites you – it could be a game, a productivity tool, or anything that sparks your creativity.
2. Use Expo to set up your development environment quickly and easily.

This CSC352: React Native II project is a mobile companion hub for ArtVise AI, built with React Native and Expo. It features a preloaded artwork gallery with a modal viewer, auto-slideshow, manual navigation, and a horizontal carousel with index tracking. The app also includes dark/light mode, camera tools for submitting artwork or selfies, a like button with feedback, an artist-status toggle, and autofocus input.
In this assignment, you will have several choices on how to complete this course.
